Maintenance Technician

Whitecourt, Alberta

As a Maintenance Technician based in Whitecourt you will ensure that your area operates reliably, safely and competitively, and remains environmentally responsible. You will have experience in controls and instrumentation or mechanical and may be called upon to apply this expertise anywhere in our Operations. Experience and knowledge of gas measurement, analyzers, meter site and compressor station operations required. You will also be called upon to perform mechanical duties in rotating equipment (turbine engines, pumps, etc.) and reciprocating equipment. Your responsibilities may also include pipeline related activities (pipeline locating, crossings etc). As a key technical resource, you will be sharing your expertise with team members who come from diverse technical, business and educational backgrounds. You will be expected to be on call for operations on a rotational basis for the facilities in the area. You and your team will be held accountable in several key areas including safety, environment, reliability, customer/stakeholder focus and budget performance.

Your strengths include the ability to coach and mentor members of your team, and a knack for troubleshooting. During your 3+ years of related industry experience and you have become well-versed in operations, high pressure gas transmission, and inspections and/or commissioning. In addition, you will have attained a Journey Person status in E&I or Mechanical. A self-motivated, entrepreneurial and innovative individual, you challenge the status quo and are committed to continuous improvement.
