Alliance Pipeline has employees that live and work in communities all along our system, and we support our employees in their own efforts to contribute to the community. Here are some of the ways that Alliance empowers employees to support the community.
Alliance encourages employees to make a difference in their community through the causes or initiatives of their choice. The Empowerment Program is a way for Alliance to provide financial support to these initiatives. The program supports the charitable efforts of employee-partners or their immediate family members (including spouse or children) who volunteer their time or donate money to a charity, non-profit or community group. Alliance will match their donation and/or will make a donation to the same cause in recognition of their volunteer time.
It is not uncommon to see groups of Alliance Pipeline employees doing good deeds around town. Together as teams, or as individuals, Alliance enables its employees to volunteer for various causes, on work time. Teams have tackled various projects such as feeding the hungry, roadside cleanups, and more.
Alliance Pipeline Charity Partners Program
As a way to help connect Alliance’s head-office employees (in Calgary) to the community, Alliance launched an employee-giving program called
Alliance Pipeline Charity Partners. Through this program, eligible local charities make the case for how up to $150,000 could help them address a significant community issue or need. Employees are then empowered with collectively choosing a cause to partner with for two years through fundraising and volunteering. Alliance matches all employee donations to the chosen partner, dollar-for-dollar.
