Alliance Pipeline is pleased to have committed $15,000 over three years to the Leduc #1 Energy Discovery Centre. This not-for-profit organization, located on the Leduc No. 1 historic site, provides energy education for all ages. The centre provides students with the opportunity to gain real-world insight into how the oil and gas industry pertains to their lives, both inside and outside the classroom. There are a number of programs offered at the centre, ranging from general energy industry introductions to specialized training for eager learners from
elementary students to oilfield executives.
Owned and operated by the Devon/Leduc Oilfield Historical Society, the 13 acres of indoor and outdoor exhibits preserves oilfield related artifacts of the past, to educate future generations and potential energy
Alliance's funding will provide over 3500 students from 12 schools with bus transportation to experience the artifacts, archives, fossils and theatre that the Discovery Centre has to offer. As part of Alliance's ongoing commitment to energy education, supporting this organization is an important investment. The Discovery Centre not only aligns with Alliance's funding priorities, but further educates youth on the fundamental aspects of the energy industry and helps shape the leaders of tomorrow.
