Three Rivers Interconnection Project

Project Overview​

Alliance Pipeline L.P. (Alliance) is proposing to construct, install, own, operate, and maintain approximately 2.8-miles of 20-inch diameter natural gas pipeline, a new metering and regulating station, and other related auxiliary facilities and appurtenances. The Project will provide natural gas transportation services to Competitive Power Ventures’ planned Three Rivers Energy Center in Grundy County, Illinois. The proposed Three Rivers Interconnection Project will be capable of delivering approximately 210 million standard cubic feet per day of natural gas.

Project Schedule: Tentative

  • Application submitted – April 1, 2021
  • FERC Certificate – March 2023
  • Construction begins – Q4 2023
  • Facilities in-service – Q2 2024

Alliance Pipeline Limited Partnership (Alliance Canada) owns the Canadian portion of the Alliance Pipeline system. Alliance Pipeline L.P. ​​(Alliance U.S.A.) owns the U.S. portion of the Alliance Pipeline system. Both Alliance Canada and Alliance U.S.A. are owned 50 percent each by affiliates of Enbridge Income Fund and Pembina Pipeline Corporation.​
