Mid-October system outage to accommodate Regina Bypass
Alliance Pipeline is committed to being a good neighbour to the communities along our pipeline corridor. The Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure’s
Regina Bypass Project will cross the Alliance mainline at two locations south of Regina. To accommodate the highway work (to be completed in 2019), and meet future regulatory requirements, Alliance installed a new segment of heavier wall pipe in each of those locations. This required us to shut down our pipeline from October 12-19 to install the new pipe and connect it to the existing system.
Alliance successfully completed its Regina Bypass Outage work on schedule at 0700 CCT October 19. Commercial service resumed on October 20, 2016.
