Every year, failure to “call or click before you dig” results in injury, legal hassles and disruption of utilities – like power, water, and telephone – for hundreds of thousands of individuals and families.
Safety matters. Always call or click before you dig.
Unauthorized digging is the number one cause of pipeline related incidents. That’s why Alliance Pipeline is actively involved in damage prevention programs in Canada and the United States. While the laws and regulations governing excavation and ground disturbance activities near pipelines differ slightly in each country, the goal is the same – public safety and system integrity.
Always call or click before undertaking any sort of digging or excavation project, including: deep ploughing, drain tile installation, installing a new deck, fence or driveway, planting a tree or installing a new mailbox post.
Alliance Pipeline proudly supports:
- Common Ground Alliance (CGA)
- Iowa Regional Partnership (CGI)
- Canadian Common Ground Alliance (CCGA)
- Pipelines and Informed Planning Alliance (PIPA)
